Preparations for 2012

The new season approach and like every year we rush for the final maintenance touch. We always try to improve details, like the kitchen getting a new paint but also more dramatic changes: this year 2 more bungalows have been renovated with brick walls and a bigger terrace. But this is the visible part; my everyday work during the break is mainly around water pump, compressor, speed boat engines, generators and everything else related to technical matter. The idea is to have all in mint condition at the start of the season to minimize the problems during the time with guests.

Also every year we try to improve little things, so this year we will offer WIFI in the restaurant, of course the speed and the transfer rate are very low because we use the hand phone network as a internet connection, so cannot expect much but probably enough for checking emails . 

This year we will welcome a new couple of diving instructor: Daniele from Italia and Jennie from England. They were previously working in Vietnam …

New fibre boat

This is our new asset. The test drive was excellent. It cuts the waves like a knife in a butter, it is super solid and stable and we all got this extra wow from the wind in the hair ;-) AND it looks great, doesn't it ?!!

Beginning of 2011 diving season

i know …i should give news more often…

Eva and Pierre a French instructor couple are replacing Junko, she found a new life in Switzerland…( she must miss the warm water and colorful reef already ) …so we all here wish her a good new start .The 30-40 M or more visibility is back, so nice to dive in such clear water, the reef are so colorful.

Macro diving has always is part of surprise and new discover, among them we could mention, tiger shrimp, tiny yellow and red frog fish, incredible halimeda crab ( I don’t know to call it, it was inside the halimeda grass and mimic with it, see photo), Sea horses , Pegasus, rinopias…ect.

And very last news is from our house reef where a family of orange bargibandi made home on a gorgonian fan at 24 m deep.

School of Eagle Rays

long time no news...

This year I almost didn’t write on the blog. That doesn’t mean that nothing interesting happened. We were quite busy from summer up to December and everyday life doesn’t give us much free time.

The diving was rich in surprise these last months, several Mola Mola always so BIG, some new rinopias also Pegasus , harlequin shrimps and many of the muck diving critters.

The whales were still around like every year around winter time, they pass so close from the house reef that I’m sure we could see them if we were diving at that time.

I started underwater photography this year and I already put up a gallery on our web site.

So you can see all nice creatures we found this year…hope you enjoy the tour and don’t hesitate to write your feedback.
